For Parents & Carers

“As a parent of a young person with mental health issues I have felt alone, frustrated and helpless. I welcome uS and its innovative, but common sense approach to helping young people like my child.”

We have learned much from talking to parents and carers. They have been generous with their time, sharing with us their different experiences and their struggles to find the right support for themselves and their child.

They have confirmed that there is a dearth of services and support for young people and their parents. Because of this we have a greater understanding of the significant challenges they face and their overwhelming desire for their children to be well, happy and able fulfil their potential.

Parents and carers of young people with or at risk of developing mental health difficulties are very important to the planning and growth of uS. Your knowledge, advice and support will help uS to get it right and help your young people benefit and grow through participation in our sporting and fitness activities.

Please note that as our organisation grows we will also deliver some activities for parents. We’d love to hear what you have to say about this.

If you’d like to find out more about uS activities and/or how you and your family can engage with our organisation please contact uS:
